Course Objectives/Description:

The Summer Internship is situated outside the classroom and into the real-world whereby the practice aspect of the overall programme is realized. It explores connectivity with external platforms that are engaged with pursuing varied activities to further social, cultural and environmental goals and thus becomes directly relevant to AUD’s vision of imparting knowledge with social relevance.

Course Outcomes:

On successful completion of this course students will be able to:

  1. Understand the practice of social design and innovation.
  2. Build an appreciation towards organizational functioning preferably associated with various themes and objectives of social design and innovation.
  3. Develop familiarity with executional aspects of any task/ project/assignment and learn to appreciate related potential and limitations.
  4. Develop an ability to visualize, plan and execute given assignments in an efficient and effective manner.
  5. Learn to network and access resources and people in a proactive and independent manner, towards realizing given objectives.

The final grade would be composed of the following:

  • Assessment by the External Guide: 20%
  • Documentation based over the contents above: 40%
  • Post-Internship Presentation: 40%
